Effective voting allows a community to determine its own destiny. Black Voters Matter agrees with the words of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. when he said, “Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is power correcting everything that stands against love.”
Democracy Docket focuses on detecting, highlighting, and combating suppressive voting laws and practices that will have the greatest impact on the outcome of the 2020 elections and which are not otherwise being addressed. Put simply, they spotlight those laws and practices that restrict the right to vote but may not be the most newsworthy.
Fair Fight brings awareness to the public on election reform, advocates for election reform at all levels, and engages in other voter education programs and communications.
Voter suppression of voters of color and young voters is a scourge our country faces in states across the nation. Georgia’s 2018 elections shone a bright light on the issue with elections that were rife with mismanagement, irregularities, unbelievably long lines, and more, exposing both recent and also decades-long actions and inactions by the state to thwart the right to vote. Georgians and Americans are fighting back.
Fair Fight Action engages in voter mobilization and education activities and advocates for progressive issues; in addition, Fair Fight Action has mounted significant programs to combat voter suppression in Georgia and nationally.
HeadCount is a non-partisan organization that uses the power of music to register voters and promote participation in democracy. They reach young people and music fans where they already are – at concerts and online – to inform and empower.
By reaching young people and music fans where they already are – at concerts and online – they make civic participation easy and fun.
Headcount stages nonpartisan voter registration drives at more than 1,000 live events each year and collaborates with cultural leaders to promote civic engagement on a national scale. Since 2004, Headcount has signed up over 600,000 voters through their work with touring musicians like Ariana Grande, Dead & Company, and Beyoncé and events like Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Pride Festivals, and RuPaul’s DragCon. Meanwhile, their digital campaigns have won Clio and SHORTY awards, and public service announcements have starred the likes of Jay-Z, Dave Matthews, members of the Grateful Dead, and Brockhampton.
MoveOn members are a force for social justice and political progress. They come from all 50 states and all walks of life. Together, they are at once large and nimble, targeting resources purposefully, yet pivoting quickly as they identify new opportunities for change and mobilize to seize them.
Their rapid-response organizing and campaigning, communications interventions, digital innovation, rigorous data science and testing, and culture of grassroots participation have repeatedly combined to produce real-world impact, changing outcomes, and making our country better.
NFL Votes is a league-wide, nonpartisan initiative that supports and encourages civic engagement among NFL players, and legends, club and league personnel, and fans. The initiative was founded in 2020 as a joint effort between the NFL and NFL Players Association and focuses on three key components of the electoral process: voter education, voter registration, and voter activation.

Many people wonder "can I vote with a felony conviction?" and assume the laws have restricted their rights. But that’s not true! While many states have some restrictions on felon voting rights, most states restore the right to vote to citizens after they complete their sentences. In fact, up to 18 million Americans with past convictions can vote RIGHT NOW – they just don’t know it – because the felony disenfranchisement laws in every state can be confusing.
With the help of this website, you will no longer have to wonder whether you have the right to vote and will no longer have to ask, "can I restore my right to vote?"
