PARCHMAN PRISON REFORM
Parchman Farm, the oldest maximum-security prison in Mississippi, is known for the mistreatment of Black Americans and its inhumane living conditions. Since 2019, we have raised local and national awareness through digital campaigns and billboards, garnered support from musicians, organized a rally at the Mississippi State Capitol, and obtained legal assistance for the incarcerated and their families. We continue to work towards educating the public to help establish humane conditions while the government seeks to improve its carceral system. Most recently, our efforts have resulted in the DOJ finding that conditions at Parchman Prison violate the 8th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Learn more at parchmanprison.com.
