Breonna Taylor
Breonna Taylor was murdered on March 13, 2020 in her Louisville, Kentucky apartment, after seven at least Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) officers, including Jonathan Mattingly, Brett Hankison, and Myles Cosgrove, forced entry.
Roc Nation and Team Roc provided impactful assistance to the advocacy efforts following Taylor's death. Working with Until Freedom, founded by Linda Sarsour and Tamika Mallory, Roc Nation and Team Roc donated groceries to protesting efforts in Louisville, "Roc Nation has been a champion of providing resources to organizers, to activists. They are always game for food distribution or anything that brings some sort of joy or hope to communities of color," Sarsour said to WLKY.
